Your Comprehensive Source for Unbiased Product Reviews

Product TestingWelcome to the site of Testing Team. We are a team of product review specialists that spend our time testing products for large manufacturers before they officially launch their products. As a result, we stress test these products in every which way imaginable, but of course also evaluate their functionality and effectiveness in terms of accomplishing what they are designed to do.

The best part of it all is that we get paid for it. Doesn’t that sound like a dream job? Well, to be honest with you, it kind of is. We love what we do, and are extremely passionate about it and wouldn’t trade it for anything else. The great news is that we feel that we are helping the average consumer as well in terms of getting honest reviews out there of these products that help consumers make the right decisions. That’s why we have used this site as a way of recommending only the best products.

Our team consists of 3 individuals and our expertise lies predominantly with testing products in the dental, hygiene, and beauty sector. We test all sorts of products in this space ranging from electric toothbrushes, water flossers, hair curlers, electric shavers, safety razors, epilators, and everything in between. We have a standard protocol that we follow when testing each of these products, and develop a detailed consumer report for our clients that outlines the strengths, weaknesses, and critical improvements to their products.

This site consists of some products that have received our stamp of approval over years of testing, and we will continue to add more as time goes on.

Our “No Bias” Approach to Testing

Let us be clear – when we test products we approach the exercise with a “no-bias” approach. This means that we strictly test a product on its physical characteristics and its effectiveness in fulfilling its purpose (ie. For testing the best electric toothbrush we measure the ability of it to remove plaque and clean the teeth). The brand name, marketing, or anything else that companies may use to enhance the appeal of their products are ignored completely when doing this analysis. Factors like this can often impact objectivity when evaluating products, that’s why we take extreme care to make sure that this isn’t part of the equation.

The Two Main Types of Product Testing We Do

  • Durability/Stress Testing – Specific tests designed to ensure that the products in question are of high quality and durable. Examples of tests include running the product for an extended period of time to ensure that it will still work after a significant amount of time, dropping the product from various heights, checking whether the product is water proof and to what degree, and a host of other tests.
  • Functionality Testing – These tests are all about ensuring the products accomplish what they set out to do in the first place. Often times we hire external experts to assess the effectiveness of these products, depending on in which field the exact product is being used. For example, in evaluating toothbrushes we typically hire a panel of dental experts that set out to evaluate which is most effective in cleaning teeth. Measurements of the amount of bacteria are taken before and after brushing on a large number of subjects to determine how effective the brush is at cleaning teeth. Based on these results, an overall score is given.

We hope that you find the information that we share about these products useful and will allow you to make the right choice on your purchase.
