Anyone who is suffering with thinning hair is going to be self-conscious about their locks. It seems that with almost all hairstyles, bigger is better. And whether you have naturally thin hair, are struggling with a health issue that gives your thin hair, or maybe just getting older (both men and women get thinner hair as they age), you will probably want to do something to give your hair a little help. So we've rounded up some of our thinner haired reviewers, and set to work trying the best hair thickening products around. There are actually an awful lot of different products around. But we're focussing on the basics: Shampoos. Read on to see which products make our top three and why.
Each of these shampoos are great for men and women and will give your hair a boost. Just remember to look at lifestyle factors too. Stress, iron and thyroid issues can all cause hair thinning. So worth making sure there's nothing else you could be missing in your quest for thicker hair.

Reborn MAX, Herbal Hair Shampoo

Like we said before, hair loss or thinning hair may be natural for you. And if it is, you're going to need to make the most of what you've got. And the shampoo that you use can make a real difference to how full and vibrant your hair looks. More so than many of the hair thickening creams and serums available on the market.
Remember, hair thickening shampoos are not a magical shampoo. It won't double your volume of hair or make hair grow back when it has been long gone. But it will gradually increase the volume of your hair. For extra volume, no matter what length your hair, think about using a hair dryer for extra oomph!
You want to avoid build-up with hair thickening shampoos, so look out for products which include some of these features:

Hair thickening products can be pricey. And shampoos are no exception. So you need to use them wisely.
Wow, there really are a lot of hair thickening products out there. Our top three are all shampoos as this is where the biggest difference can be made. And all are suitable for men and women.
A great shampoo for all kinds of hair thinning problems, be that male patent baldness or just lifeless hair. Brilliant clean, irritant free wash that really does give hair a fuller texture. Conditioner also available to buy.
We found this absolutely did make our hair look thicker and made the very most of what we each had. Also loved how, compared to the other products in this category, you could go a really long time without having to use a clarifying shampoo.
Not an awful lot. But it does sting a little if it gets in your eyes. Not a big deal though, and easy to avoid! Not recommended for children anyway!
We LOVE this product. It is brilliant for all types of thin or thinning hair. No itching, great looking healthy hair. Suitable for all hair types; men, women, color-safe. A real treat!
It really is brilliant. And does feel like a treat to use. And as you'd expect when you look at the price tag, it really does work. From a performance only perspective we would say this product edges it. But the price means that it doesn't quite do enough to warrant first place at the $35 mark!
Only the price. It is expensive. But if you do decide to invest in this shampoo, you won't regret it.
Another product that blocks DHTs, is sulfate and paraben free. A great shampoo, lathers up nicely and definitely plumps up the hair.
A really good shampoo, suitable for men and women, although the scent is a little more masculine than the other products in the top three. We would recommend using a clarifying shampoo once a week with this product, but if you do that you'll get great results and thicker looking hair.
Currently no conditioner available with this product and is quite expensive for a 200ml bottle.
You won't go far wrong with any of our top three. They all follow the key rules for a great hair thickening shampoo and we would recommend each one. Although we thought that the second placed product was probably the best, at $35 vs. $5 for L'Oreal's shampoo, we couldn't justify putting this one in first place. If money were no issue we'd go for the Pura d'or. But only just!
